We’re not promising to be good stewards of it. We’re telling you there’s no copy on our side to steward. We can’t train on it, mine it, sell it, or leak it, because we never have it.

That stays true even when you turn the brain dial to Cloud. In Cloud Brain mode, only the prompts you choose to send go to the cloud provider you pick, under that provider’s terms, never to us. Your memory, files, actions, and voice still stay on your machine. We won’t pretend a request is private once you’ve sent it to someone else’s cloud; we always show you the line and let you decide where to stand.

It’s also why the business works without your data: you pay a flat subscription for the app and the relay. One honest price. Most “private AI” stops at a promise about encryption. Ours is structural: we can’t monetize what we never hold.

Is my data really private?

How do you make money if you never see my data?

We charge a flat subscription, $29.99/mo, $249/yr, or a one-time $299 Founders license, for the app and the blind relay that reaches your partner when you’re away. That’s the whole business. Ad-supported and “free” AI works the other way: your conversations and habits become the profile they sell or the data they train on, because you’re the product. Bionic Partner is built so we never receive your data in the first place; it lives on your machine, and the relay only forwards encrypted bytes it never sees inside. So there’s nothing on our side to mine, sell, or leak. Even in Cloud Brain mode, the prompts you choose to send go to your cloud provider under their terms, never to us. You pay us with money, not with your data.

Do I need to be technical to use it?

No. You install one app and a guided setup walks you through naming your partner, picking a web address, and pairing your phone. No command line, no model wrangling, no servers to configure.

What does the relay do, and can it read my data?

The relay lets you reach your partner from your phone or watch when you’re away from home. It’s a blind tunnel. It only forwards encrypted bytes and can never see your messages, files, or sign‑in. On your home Wi‑Fi you connect directly and don’t need it at all.

If I plug in a cloud model, is it still private?

Yes, on your terms. A cloud brain only ever sees the specific prompts you send it, and those go to the cloud provider you choose under that provider’s terms, never to us; it never gets your memory, files, computer actions, or voice. Those stay local. You choose per task, and can switch anything back to Fully Local at any time. (See “Is my data really private?” above for the full picture.)

Which devices does it run on?

Your partner lives on a Mac today, with Windows and Linux coming. You install it on the machine you want your partner to live on, and reach it from that machine plus apps on iPhone and Apple Watch. You can run more than one partner, one per machine, and switch between them from a single picker.

How does pricing work?

One subscription per Bionic Partner (one per machine), $29.99/mo or $249/yr, and it includes both the app and the relay. Early believers can grab a Founders lifetime license for $299 (first 100 only), which includes the app forever plus two years of relay. You can cancel anytime.
